Joaquín Guerrero-Casasola nació en México en 1962, de madre española y padre mexicano. Es un escritor y guionista con un doctorado en Literatura por la Universidad de Salamanca, un máster en Guion de Cine y Televisión por la Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, una licenciatura en Comunicación por la UAM y estudios de novela en 2006 en la Escuela Internacional de Cine de San Antonio de los Baños, en Cuba, bajo la tutela del escritor Gabriel García Márquez. Se desempeña como profesor e investigador de la UNAM. Entre sus novelas están Ley Garrote (premio internacional de novela negra LH Confidencial 2007), La senda del mexica (Joaquín Mortiz, 2013 y Booket, 2019), Complot para matar a un nini (premio internacional de novela Contacto Latino 2015), Duele más el viento (premio internacional de novela Distancia Breve 2016), El tren de la ausencia (premio internacional de novela Medellín Negro 2016), La desaparición del principito (Planeta, 2020) y Muerte detrás de cámaras (Planeta, 2022). Joaquín Guerrero-Casasola was born in Mexico in 1962 to a Spanish mother and a Mexican father. He is a writer and screenwriter with studies in Literature, Film and Television, y Communication and novels, under the tutelage of the writer Gabriel García Márquez. Performs as a professor and researcher at UNAM.
