Autorenporträt
Marilyn McGreer is a home economist and educator in the fields of early childhood and nursing. She began her nursing career in 2003 as a graduate from the Practical Nursing Program at NorQuest College, Edmonton, Alberta, and obtained nursing specialty in immunization and foot care nursing. Upon graduation she worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in both acute care and long-term care facilities. Marilyn also has a Bachelor of Science degree in home Economics, with specialization in Family Studies, from the University of Alberta. In addition to nursing, she worked as an educator and supervisor of children and adult learners in a variety of settings, including daycare centers and post-secondary institutions. She holds the designation Professional Home Economist and level three certification as an Early Childhood Educator. For the past ten years, she has enjoyed working as a career coach, mentoring and teaching English to internationally educated nurses preparing to write CELBAN. She is the president of the Vocational Pathways Association of Edmonton.
