During the study period, BCC accounted for 5% of all oncology consultations, or 25% of all aerodigestive tract cancers at UCO-Donka. The sex ratio was 1.2. The average age was 45 years with extreme ages ranging from 1 to 90 years. Housewives were the socio-professional layer most affected 61 cases (32.97%). Risk factors were dominated by smoking and poor oral hygiene (52.43%). The vast majority of patients resided in the special zone of Conakry 77 cases (41.62%) and in 2 cases (1.8%) they came from neighboring countries. The BACs were preferentially located at the oral floor 41 cases (22.16%) and lips 39 cases (21.08%). The average time to consultation was 11.76 months and 74% did not consult until more than 6 months after the onset of symptoms. At diagnosis, the cancer was classified as stage IV in 80%, stage I 13, 44% and stage II 7, 56%. Squamous cell carcinoma was by far the most common histological type (84.87%) with a predominance of the well-differentiated (40.33%) and poorly differentiated (35.29%) types.
