Cancer is the leading cause of disease worldwide with over 11 million people diagnosed every year. First, the book presents basic knowledge of cancer such as clinical symptoms, causes of cancer and cancer situation in the world. In particular, cancer diagnosis methods are described at three levels: cell tests, protein tests and genetic tests, as well as general knowledge about cancer from a bioinformatics perspective. Finally, the book writes some techniques for analyzing data on signaling networks for cancer prognosis and diagnosis such as estimating cancer survival rates by signaling network entropy and locating cancer biology genes for 16 types of cancer.
