Knowledge of the flight activities of meliponines is essential for understanding the foraging patterns of these bees, as well as their preservation and obtaining subsidies for the use of these insects in crop pollination. This research addresses the flight activity and the influence of temperature during foraging of the Canudo stingless bee species, Scaptotrigona bipunctata, in natural nest conditions in the Teresina Zoological Botanical Park. Further studies regarding stingless bees can and should be intensified because they present endemic adaptability conditions and can be used both in agricultural crops and in the preservation and conservation of areas.
