Autorenporträt
Harar is a queer Jamaican-Canadian multi-disciplinary artist and poet currently living, organizing and creating in Tiohtiá:ke/Montreal, the unceded and unsurrendered territory of Kanien'kehá:ka of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Huron/Wendat, Abenaki, and Anishinaabeg peoples. They use their work to explore themes of identity recognizing that these themes inform their experiences with love, lust, belonging, happiness, empowerment, resistance, and person storytelling. For them, poetry is first and foremost an avenue for healing.
