Cardioprotective potential of Ananas comosus fruits

The study was designed to evaluate the cardioprotective effects of Ananas comosus hydro alcoholic extract, on Isoproterenol (ISO) induced myocardial infarction in Wistar albino rats. The results of the study showed that pretreatment of Ananas comosus extract possess cardioprotective activity against Isoproterenol induced myocardial infarction in albino rats. Atorvastatin was used as a standard drug .
