The book "Career Guidance for Youth with Social Risk Status" was written based on theoretical part, practical experience and the results of pedagogical experiment by Latvian author Ph.D. Inta Lemesonoka. The author has done pedagogical experiment in 2017 and describes the process of the experiment in the book. The research addresses the problem of facilitating development of youngster`s at-risk career management skills within the career guidance process according to age specifics, youngster's particular needs and career development opportunities. The issue of drop-outs and dealing with youth at-risk of dropping out of school has been long on agenda in Latvia. Scientific novelty of the research - the connection between acquiring career guidance and developing youngster's at- risk career management skills has been theoretically verified; the model of Pupil`s At-risk Career Management Skills Development. Practical novelty of the research - recommendations have been put forward on how to improve career guidance in schools; the results of the research can be practically used to elaborate a school's career guidance program and to put into practice the content of career education.

Le Dr Inta Leme¿onoka est maître de conférences au département de pédagogie, de psychologie et d'art de l'université de Lettonie, à Riga. Elle est conseillère d'orientation professionnelle et formatrice d'enseignants. L'auteur a plus de 20 ans d'expérience dans l'éducation, en tant qu'enseignante sociale et directrice d'école.
