Autorenporträt
Born in Fresno, California, Brenda Najimian Magarity is a second-generation Armenian American, daughter of a homemaker and a drycleaner/hat-blocker. When she was in her mid-twenties she became the driver for author William Saroyan. This friendship increased her passion for writing and her interest in her Armenian heritage. A former high school English teacher, she has published poetry, essays, and stories in various online and literary journals and has participated in two documentaries about Saroyan.
