Stephanie Rohr holds a BFA from Drake University and an MA from University of the Arts, London. She started her cross-stitch design business, stephXstitch, in 2010 (stephXstitch.com). Her designs juxtapose traditional motifs with modern sentiments, ranging from curse words to cheeky sayings, and from memes to feminist slogans. Stephanie's first book, Feminist Cross-Stitch, was published in 2019. Her designs have been featured in Cross-Stitcher, Craft Business, and Cross-Stitch Crazy magazines, Huffington Post, Good Housekeeping, Bust, and more. She also teaches in-person cross-stitch classes and speaks about craftivism and craft business. Stephanie lives in Chicago.
