Rodney Evans is a retired Coast Guard officer. After a fantastic career in saving lives, law enforcement and homeland security, Rodney has a lot of stories to tell. He's is a strong advocate for reading and children's issues. Evans is the author of a humorous and inspirational 'How To' Collection for young readers on building courage and solving their problems. Each book in the Magical Flatulent Pumpkin series is a unique experience, guaranteed to draw them in, keep them laughing and leave them inspired. Born September 11, 1966 in Gulfport, MS, Evans enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve in 1987 and earned a B.S. in Finance in 1993. However, 9/11 changed his professional direction and Rodney went from civilian professional to full time solider. Evans currently resides in Winchester, VA with his wonderful wife, children and dog, Buddy. He currently enjoys writing to educate and entertain young minds.
