There is no specific antiviral treatment for the disease as of now, so a symptomatic and supportive approach is adopted in the treatment of this disease. Specific measures to prevent the disease are Isolation of the infected persons with proper ventilation, hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment like masks, face shields and PPE kits are the measures to be taken by the general public as well as health care workers. As now various vaccines havebeen made available which are now in use.
