Cassia County is a county located in the U.S. state of Idaho. As of the 2000 Census the county had a population of 21,416 (2008 estimate: 21,348). The county seat and largest city is Burley. Cassia County was created by the Idaho Territorial Legislature on February 20, 1879, by a partition of Owyhee County, with the county seat at Albion.[3] A western portion became Twin Falls County in 1907.
