Jackie Saettone nació en el Perú. Empezó sus estudios en la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), se graduó en antropología de la University of Pennsylvania y tiene un MBA del Harvard Business School. Le encanta viajar, conocer gente de todo el mundo y aprender sobre sus culturas, idiomas y costumbres. Durante muchos años vivió en Estados Unidos, Asia y Europa. Ya hace mucho que regresó a Lima, donde combina su trabajo empresarial con la pasión por escribir. Uno de los nombres de su gata es "Lulú" (sus hijas le dan todo tipo de apodos) y fue la inspiración de la mascota que aparece al final del primer libro y protagoniza el segundo.
