Despite the fact that a number of textbooks on cataloguing have appeared during recent years, there is justification for bringing out another book on cataloguing. The present book makes a special attempt to include both theory of cataloguing and practice in simple language. An attempt has been made to make this book readable. Description of topics is simple. Suitable examples have been provided to facilitate understanding of the subject. As far as feasible, the presentation follows the order of development of subject. This book is primarily intended to meet the requirements of students studying for Certificate course, Bachelor and Master in Library and Information Science at Indian Universities.
