BARBARA ALFARO is the recipient of a Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award in Playwriting and two Jenny McKean Moore writing scholarships at The George Washington University. Mirror Talk, her memoir won the IndieReader Discovery Award for Best Memoir. Her poems have appeared in various journals including Poet Lore, The Blue Mountain Review and Glassworks.
