Autorenporträt
Na'ima B. Robert is descended from Scottish Highlanders on her father's side and the Zulu people on her mother's side. She was born in Leeds, grew up in Zimbabwe and attended Queen Mary & Westfield College in London, where she was introduced to Black British culture and served as African-Caribbean Society president. She has written several books, including From My Sisters Lips and four novels for young adults: 'From Somalia, with Love'; 'Boy vs Girl'; 'Black Sheep'; and the award-winning 'Far From Home'. Na'ima is founder and Editor-in-Chief of SISTERS, a magazine for Muslim women and Discover, an educational magazine. She has been published in The Times, The Observer and The Muslim Weekly as well as several online publications.
