Autorenporträt
Claudia Cornwall was born in Shanghai, but has lived in Canada ever since she was nine months old. She studied philosophy at university; her PhD thesis looked at the question of whether language-using gorillas were persons. She married in 1971, and together with her husband settled in Vancouver. Though she liked ideas, she found that she couldn't make a living as a philosopher! So, she turned to freelance writing. She has written many articles about science and medicine for Reader's Digest, for both the Canadian and international editions, for the Globe and Mail, BC Business, and other magazines. She wrote a book for children called Print-Outs, the adventures of a rebel computer. It sold 4000 copies in Canada and was turned into a radio play in Norway.
