The new emerging lay leaders are now occupying a number of significant positions in the Church and playing various roles that were exclusively exercised by clergy and members of religious orders. One of the critical challenges that these lay leaders face is that most of them are taking up positions and playing roles that they are not necessarily trained to occupy or play. Using qualitative methodology this book investigates the challenges of Catholic Public School Lay leaders in Ghana and provides practical recommendations as to how to address these challenges so that the Catholic school lay leaders can actively participate in the evangelizzing mission of the Church. The book further provides practical ways of developing the spiritual capita of lay leaders in Catholic public school leadersship so that they can execrise the spiritual dimension of their leadership by cultivating,nurturing, and sustaining the Catholic identity and culture of their school. The book serves as a guide for Catholic educational policy; and is a useful tool for those charged with the spiritual and professional development of Catholic school lay leadership.
