For the past forty-five years, Franklin College has been David's home. During his career, David was attracted to the topics of faith development, Catholic-Orthodox relations, and Muslim-Christian dialogue. In the last twenty years, religious terrorism has become David's area of specialty. He frequently gave talks and was interviewed on radio and TV about ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and US terrorist groups. More recently, David has offered talks on the causes and potential outcomes of the Hamas-Israeli conflict. Now retired, David enjoys writing non-fiction related to interfaith efforts and the Christopher Worthy/Father Fortis detective series. His wife, Kathy, is a retired English professor, an award-winning artist, and his best editor. Their two sons took parental advice to follow their passions. The older, Leif, is a photographer, and the younger, Marten, is a filmmaker.
