Jan loved being with the children, and the island's charms included lovely beaches on Puget Sound, and plenty of opportunities for fishing and whale watching. After Jan and the children encounter Cade Colby fishing on the beach, a friendship blossoms between the four, with the added spice of a warm attraction between Jan and Cade. Unfortunately, the isolation and rugged coastline that makes the island so attractive to nature lovers also makes it the perfect place for certain criminal activities. And Jan, Cade, and the kids are soon caught up in something that could ruin their idyllic summer, and maybe even Jan and Cade's promising future together.
