Today's ceramic industry is one of the major employment generation and wealth creation sector in the world. In order to revive the industry in Africa, significant research and development investments in local mineral processing techniques have to be improved. This book intend to provide information and capture manufacturing processes, tools and locally sourced raw materials used in production. The book content is as follows. Chapter one contain a brief introduction and definition of ceramics, pottery. Chapter two discusses the basic ceramic raw materials used in production. Chapter three, production processes, machines and safety measures observed. Chapter four mention the processes involved in mould making and chapter five, glaze classification and the dynamics of temperature in kiln operation.
