His academic honours and awards include an American Philosophical Society Award, two Senior Fellowships at the Folger Shakespeare Library, and a Guggenheim Fellowship. Jackson C. Boswell, retired Professor of English Studies at the University of the District of Columbia, is Scholar in Residence at The Folger Shakespeare Library.
