The purpose of this book is for professionals working in the educational assessment Resource and research centers. The book is based on a research carried on Challenges and Opportunities of using School Readiness Screening Tool for Learners with Special Needs in Kenya. The professionals play a major part to determine school placement and intervention strategies for learners. The findings revealed that Screening using School Readiness Screening Tool used by Educational Assessment and Resource professionals does not screen areas especially of learners in following categories: Learners with Autism, learners with severe cerebral palsy, emotional and behavioral difficulties, speech and language difficulties, mentally handicapped and visual impairment.The book recommends that additional content in the referral form for more details of intervention and placement strategies and sustainable multidisciplinary approach in the screening process.The book will be of great help to educational assessment professionals working in the resource and service centers and multidisciplinary professionals involved in the screening of learners with special needs and disability.
