In order to prepare and modernise the country's technical personnel for rapid industrialisation and national development, one of the most successful human resource development techniques is technical and vocational education and training (TVET). The researcher's investigation of the declining standards of craft practice skills at technical and vocational institutions was based on this premise. The study looked at the current context in which the nation's Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system functions, emphasizing how coordinating the demonstration of practical skills with the teaching of workshop procedures can improve skill acquisition and training. It also looked at the impact of students' declining performance and the relationship between industries and training institutions. As a component of this work, questionnaires and interviews were adopted as the main data collection instruments. Students and Tutors of the selected technical and vocational institutes were surveyed using the questionnaires whereas the heads of the institutions were interviewed.
