This book draws on a range of sources to explore the numerous challenges confronting the teaching fraternity in Zambia. It emphasises the need to relook the place of the teacher if teacher effectiveness and competence are to be achieved and learner outcomes improved. The book starts by providing an overview of the structure of the Zambian education system.
