Keith grew up in the same suburb of Auckland where Arthur Lydiard lived and trained, and was mentored for 5 years by Barry Magee, 1960 Rome Olympics marathon bronze medalist, 1961 World Cup 10000m champion, and one of Arthur Lydiard's first pupils. Barry is still coaching athletes at 87 years of age, using exactly the same training methodology that he learned from the Great Coach. This simple book explains the core physiology concepts that Arthur Lydiard discovered, pioneered, and applied to great effect over 6 decades ago, long before the concepts were explained by modern science.
