MARY CALMES vit à Lexington, dans l'État du Kentucky, avec son époux et ses deux enfants. Elle aime toutes les saisons, sauf l'été. Elle a fait ses études à l'Université du Pacifique, à Stockton, en Californie, où elle a obtenu une licence de littérature anglaise. Vu qu'il s'agit de littérature, et non de grammaire, ne lui demandez pas de vous décortiquer un texte, elle ne le fera pas. Elle aime écrire, et s'absorbe complètement dans son travail lorsqu'elle commence un livre. Elle est même capable de décrire l'odeur corporelle de ses personnages. Elle achète de nombreux ouvrages et apprécie les conventions où elle peut rencontrer ses fans.
