Autorenporträt
Author Ray Herbeck, Jr., is a journalism graduate of California State University-Long Beach and a student of Texas, Mexican War, Civil War, and Old West history. His stint as a copy editor/reporter at Billboard and editor of On Location, a film/TV production magazine, led to a twenty-year film career that married his writing with his hobby. Among his credits are historian and technical advisor ("North & South - Books I and II," "Gone to Texas"); associate producer ("Alamo: The Price of Freedom"--IMAX, "Glory"), and writer and producer ("The True Story of 'Glory' Continues," "The Wild West"). He also wrote film scripts for National Park Service historic sites. A resident of Prescott Valley, Arizona, Herbeck is a member of the Western Writers of America.
