The research in ancient science of life, Ayurveda is incomplete sans the literary review on the Classical texts mainly the triad of Charaka Samhita (The medicine text), Sushruta Samhita (The Surgical treatise) and the Vagbhata's Ashtanga samgraha and Hridaya (Compendia). The literary and conceptual research on the Charaka samhita are conducted throughout the country but the works on the exposition of the specialities of Sushruta samhita are few to find. The Sootra Sthana of the Sushruta Samhita enjoys a place of pride in the Ayurveda fraternity as it is the treasure of the basics of Ayurveda. The chapter 15 of the sootra sthana of sushruta samhita is the collection of the basic tenets of the physiology and pathology of Ayurveda system of medicine. The unique principle of the inter relation of the various tissues having wide range of application in the clinical practice is the crux of the chapter which is reinvented and enlightened in this work. This work therefore poses an opportunity to the Ayurveda knowledge seeker to comprehend the fundamentals of ayurveda and apply them to achieve the coveted goal of Health.
