Laccase are gaining increasing attention due to their possible use in food and textile industries, pulp and paper manufacturing, wastewater treatment, bioremediation and nano-biotechnology. Recently, increasing interests have been put on the application of laccases as a new biocatalyst in organic synthesis because the environmentally friendly oxidation has become a very important field in green chemistry. The aims of this chapter book are the production of laccase enzyme from locally Bacillus cereus and studying its characteristics after purification and its stability after immobilization.
