School effectiveness research (SER) has gained considerable interest in the last three decades, and many research studies have been conducted to identify the school factors that account for variations in academic achievement. This book draws a conceptual framework, exploring school effectiveness characteristics. The framework builds on six key areas included in the effective schools literature, and further outlines the constituent components of each area through qualitative case analysis. This book will provide an invaluable resource for school administrators, educators and researchers with an interest in school effectiveness and improvement.
