This monograph is, as far as we gathered, the first one of its kind which presents various characterizations of many important discrete distributions.

Dr. Hamedani is a Professor at Marquette University, Milwaukee. He received his PhD from Michigan State University. He is Editor of Journal of Statistical Theory and Applications and member of the Editorial Board of several other journals. Dr. Hamedani is the coauthor of two research monographs and authored or coauthored over 175 research papers.
