Pranab Bardhan is Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Economics at University of California, Berkeley. Educated at Presidency College, Kolkata and Cambridge University, England, he had been at the faculty of MIT, Indian Statistical Institute and Delhi School of Economics before joining Berkeley.
