That is what I have attempted here with this classic book of daily devotions. I hope I have done Charles Spurgeon justice. Spurgeon quoted Scripture from the King James Bible. I have chosen to use the New King James Version as it still leaves intact a certain 'poetic romance' to Spurgeon's writings. Where I have deviated from this norm it is so noted.
