Lese Dunton is a writer from New York City. Her other books include the first in the Charlotte adventure series, "A Girl With a Mission," as well as Simple Advice for a Happy Life (illustrated by Raggedy Ann & Andy creator Johnny Gruelle), Betsy and the Golden Room, a magical adventure story, and Mystics in the City, a series of interviews on spiritual topics. Her articles have appeared in The New York Daily News, The New York Post, Edible Manhattan, and Celebrate With Style. Her short stories have been published in the collection books Christmas Through the Eyes of a Child and My Dog is My Hero. She has written and narrated children's audiobooks for Reading Town publishers. Lese is also the founder The New Sun, on online publication whose mission is "to find the best in life and give it good coverage." She began publishing on newsprint in 1990, raised capital, and brought it to the web in 1994. People magazine said, "It has caught the eye of high-placed optimists." She has held a variety of positions including writer, editor, artist, and producer for CBS Television, The Village Voice, The New York Daily News, Life magazine and The Wall Street Journal. She was also Director of Communications for The Riverside Church.
