Autorenporträt
Lis Tarvin grew up in the small town of Swanage on the south coast of England. With her parents and three brothers to entertain she had an incredibly happy childhood spent climbing trees, racing on the beach, and swinging on a rope over the local stream. Eventually 'growing up' invaded her playtime and with teaching qualifications in hand, she moved to London where she taught for several years before moving to the States where her husband had secured a job. Lis still spends every summer back in England with family, friends, a notebook, and a pencil. Lis has been writing all her life, from her first story at the age of four entitled The Cat is a Hat Mat Pat Sat. After 44 years in the classroom, she is only now finding time to share her stories with the big wide world. She has always enjoyed rhyming her stories and even using rhyming in her classroom lessons. The children loved those lessons. Lis lives in Santa Monica, California where she enjoys hiking, painting, and writing.
