Autorenporträt
Jing Hardy is the author-publisher of HUIBENJI Children's Picture Books, which publishes titles in the genres of juvenile fiction and creative non-fiction, and poetry. Her children's picture books impart educational information and explore fundamental moral values and traditions, which help children become responsible and caring adults, with the aim to develop a deep commitment to these values. Jing is also a poet, storyteller and nature enthusiast. She grew up in a small village on the coastal plain along the Atlantic Ocean in Guyana, a country on South America's North Atlantic coast, where more than 80 percent of the country is the dense rainforest of the Amazon Jungle. Jing has lived and worked in five different countries around the world but now resides in Toronto, Canada. Jing's debut picture book, Chasing Butterflies, inspired by one of her poems was published in summer 2017. It is a vivid and compelling short story about a special bond of friendship between two little girls, the playfulness of childhood and the beauty of nature. Chasing Butterflies is available worldwide in Kindle eBook, paperback, hardcover, and audiobook.
