Paul Ormerod is a well known orchid botanist and taxonomist and has published hundreds of scientific papers on the orchid family where he has established numerous new enera and hundreds of new species. He has contributed to many major scientific works including "The Flora of China" and "Genera Orchidacearum" among numerous others.
