In short, SARS-COV is the virus that causes the coronavirus responsible for the ongoing pandemic that began in 2020, killing thousands of people around the world. Due to this pandemic, educational institutions were closed, and the entire dynamics of classes had to be adapted from in-person teaching to remote teaching, as a result, it is believed that the quality of teaching was compromised. The objective of this study was to verify the performance of students of higher education courses in the chemistry area of the Federal University of Maranhão - UFMA, besides analyzing the perspectives of remote education in the same institution. The methodology used was the data collection extracted from Google Forms available on Google Drive, containing multiple choice questions aimed at remote/hybrid teaching of chemistry, applied to students of the courses of Chemistry Degree, Chemistry Bachelor's Degree, Chemical Engineering and Industrial Chemistry of UFMA. According to the results, 70.20% of the students said that the educational institution made internet available in the pandemic, and many students stressed dissatisfaction with the institution's products.
