Eslyn Glasgow was born in Trinidad to parents Wilfred and Helena Grant; the third child of five daughters. In 1970, at the age of twenty-three, she married Joseph Glasgow, who is also from Trinidad, and accompanied him to Portage la Prairie, Canada, where he was employed at the Manitoba Developmental Centre as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counsellor. Over the last fifty-three years, they have made Winnipeg, Manitoba, their home. They have three children and six grandchildren. Eslyn graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. She is an avid reader, with her genre being (you guessed it) historical fiction. She worked with the Folk Arts Council of Winnipeg for approximately five years and with the City of Winnipeg, Social Services Department, as an Eligibility Worker for approximately ten years. Eslyn is a woman of faith who worshipped at Calvary Temple Church for thirty years under the ministry of Pastor H.H. Barber and at Liberty Full Gospel Chapel for approximately seventeen years under the tutelage of Pastors Billy and Meera Chaitram.
