Being a self-pollinated crop, it has enormous potential for heterosis breeding due to high seed number per fruit. To ensure the extensive utilization of heterosis to step up the cherry tomato production both in terms of yield and quality and to identify the best lines of cherry tomato, this book is very useful.

Sameena Lone, a Ph.D. scholar in SKUAST-K, received her Bachelor¿s and Master's degree in Horticulture from SKUAST-K. She has outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements, for which she received a merit scholarship from SKUAST-K. She also won Young Achievers Award, 2022 for her outstanding achievements in such a short period of her career.
