For documentaries and feature films, I have organized all the key elements of initial production including budget preparation, proposal writing and the hiring and supervision of lawyers, directors and crew. I have held a variety of responsible roles in feature films, including producer, associate producer, production manager, second assistant director, location scout and research director on films such as Santa Claus, The White Stallion, Pumping Iron 2 and The Bear. I have been responsible for hiring and supervising field and camera crews, coordinating call sheets and location and set continuity. In network television, I worked as a segment producer for The Today Show and as a news operation supervisor for NBC. I also worked as a production coordinator/unit production manager for a series of commercials, industrials and marketing spots. Prior to entering film and television, I worked as an art director at Simon and Schuster and an editorial assistant at Parents Magazine. My work in the arts includes several years coordinating public relations for the artist Rhonda Roland Schearer where I also supervised her gallery openings and traveling shows. I also have been an active fundraiser for non-profit organizations, serving on the executive committee for The Chapin School Capital Campaign, the Governing Board and the Sustaining Board of Memorial Sloan Kettering and the Board of the YMCA/YWCA of Greater New York. I have been an active supporter of the New York City Mission Society and Project Learn. I was a founding member of non-for-profit:Divine Mortgages and organizer of Wings World Quest. I have also served as a consultant for the Howard Dean campaigns.
