Autorenporträt
Emily Waszak is an accomplished creative writing and English composition teacher and author of self-help and children's books. She has worked in a variety of communication arenas including both radio and television broadcasting as on-air talent and board operation, as a motivational speaker addressing primarily middle and high school students, and hosting writing workshops for students. She resides in the suburban Detroit, Michigan area with her husband and five children. Ms. Waszak also taught at University of Phoenix, specializing in creative and essay writing as well as media-related and humanities courses. Her initial 1997 publication entitled, "Grief: Difficult Times, Simple Steps", was developed after she volunteered at a grief center for children. Her passion for both writing and for children led to her soon-to-be released fictional children's books: "Duck Eggs" and "The Whitetail Picnic". She is also authoring an educational book series about social media and the Common Core lesson plans with Erik Bean, Ed.D.
