This research analyzes the information related to a series of crimes of child sexual violence perpetrated against children in the Colombian Caribbean, more specifically in the departments of Córdoba and Bolívar, which occurred in the first half of 2015 and which appear in the newspapers El Universal de Cartagena, El Meridiano de Córdoba and El Meridiano de Sucre. A selection of news items (17) was made to identify the most relevant characteristics in relation to the typification of the crime, the characterization of the criminal conduct, the social context, the circumstances, the manner and place in which the events occurred. The historiographic research methodology implemented was complemented with the analysis of quantitative data and bibliographic sources related to the subject. The text is divided into two parts: in the first part, a general characterization of child sexual violence is constructed; in the second part, a presentation of the news is made; and to conclude, the document closes with some final considerations.
