Head trauma (TBI) is defined as physical injury and/or functional impairment of the contents and/or continent of the head by an external force that induces a sudden change in mechanical energy. Pediatric patients are highly exposed to this because of their susceptibility to functional and hemodynamic changes related to trauma in general. Therefore, when evaluating them for TBI, there are different aspects that make them highly fragile to this type of trauma, but at the same time with a very different evolution than adults. The intention of this work is to provide updated information, simple and according to the current canons for the management of TCE in the pediatric population, so that students and physicians in training can handle the appropriate tools for these events, without presenting a rigid guide that forces them to adhere to certain protocols, but rather a general guide that can help to individualize each case, as well as to present satisfactory information so that specialists in our institutions can have an appropriate reference to refresh their knowledge and behavior, and help the right decision making.
