KAREN ORR VERED is Senior Lecturer in Screen Studies at Flinders University, South Australia. Her work on children and media, television and digital media has appeared in Velvet Lighttrap, Continuum, Convergence and Simile. She has acted as research consultant for Nielsen/NetRatings and serves on the Media Studies Subject Advisory Committee for Secondary Schools in South Australia.
