This book was written in order to better understand what right hospitalised children have to a school outside the walls of an educational institution. Hospital pedagogy needs to be seen as a form of education that legally seeks to provide hospitalised children and adolescents with the opportunity to continue their studies, enabling them to reintegrate into the school environment. It also questions the importance of education in the hospital environment, the role of the pedagogue who must provide new opportunities for these individuals who, due to illness, are kept away from their school routine, but who have the right to a school. It also involves analysing the issue of training and qualifications for professionals working in hospital classes. It will look at the concepts of childhood throughout history, education and health in an interconnection; the history of education and pedagogy throughout history and the legal aspects that underpin pedagogy to the present day; the hospital in relation to health and education, hospital pedagogy in its historicity with its concepts, legal aspects and the hospital pedagogue. Focussing on the child's right to education.
