The Government of India has initiated different types of educational programmes for the benefit of children with disabilities. One such a programme is Inclusive education. Inclusion is the full time placement of all children including the children with mild, moderate and severe disabilities in regular classrooms (Staub and Peck - 1995). In inclusive education, the general school teachers have to play a vital role. In this context there is a need to study the level of school teachers' awareness about different disabilities for the success of inclusive education.
