The aim of this study was to determine the feasibility of setting up a specialised children's beauty salon in the city of Videira/SC. The study is based on an understanding of the importance of analysing various factors in order to realise a market idea. In order to achieve the proposed objectives, a market study was carried out by means of a sample survey, using the quantitative method, by means of closed and objective questions, applying 272 questionnaires to potential customers, where important aspects were observed, such as the number and age range of the respondents' children, how often they take their children to the beauty salon, the services they seek, their monthly spending, whether they consider a specialised children's beauty salon to be important in the city and whether they would take their children to it. Financial analyses were also drawn up based on the data collected in the survey. The financial analysis presented projections of disbursements with initial investments, input costs, sales projections, fixed and variable costs and an analysis of the company's payback.
